Refund Policy

Yes for PTE is operated by Mentobeam (Private) Limited. This policy explains how course fees work. We’ve written it plainly, because you should know exactly what you’re agreeing to before you pay.

When your access starts

Everything opens together on your course start date — your student portal, your course materials, the recordings and your practice platform.

Until then, nothing is released. Your place is simply reserved.

Your course start date is shown when you enrol, and both your course month and your one-year access period run from it.

You can cancel any time before your course start date

Changed your mind? Exam date moved? Something came up?

Any time before your course start date, tell us and we’ll refund you in full. No reason needed, no fee, no argument.

We can do this because nothing has been delivered yet — your portal, recordings and practice platform all open on that date, not before.

Once your course has started

From your course start date onwards, course fees are non-refundable.

At that point your portal, all course materials, the recordings and your practice platform have been released to you, and your place in a capped batch has been taken.

This applies to PTE Rapid Boost, PTE Deep Dive and Chamindu’s Five.

If you miss classes

We don’t refund for sessions you don’t attend. Every live session is recorded and stays available to you.

If you join a batch partway through

If you enrol after a batch has already started, you can attend the sessions you missed when the next batch runs them.

That covers live sessions only — it isn’t a second full course, and it doesn’t extend your other access.

Moving between batches

We don’t transfer enrolments between batches — but you don’t need us to.

If your plans change before your course start date, cancel for a full refund and join a later batch whenever suits you.

If your course has already started and you want to keep attending live sessions afterwards, take the Practice Package for the following month. That gives you the next batch’s live sessions, plus continuing feedback, practice platform access, updated recordings and one exam simulation day. It’s LKR 9,500 a month, optional, and you stop whenever you’re ready.

If we cancel or postpone a batch

If we cancel a batch outright, or move it to dates that don’t work for you, you can choose either:

  • a full refund, or
  • a place in the next available batch at no cost

We’ll tell you as early as we can if anything is moving.

The Practice Package

  • Monthly, optional, bought from inside your student portal. It does not renew automatically — you buy each month yourself.
  • You can stop at any time. No notice needed.
  • Part-used months aren’t refunded. Once a month has started, that month is charged.
  • An unused exam simulation day doesn’t carry over to the next month.

Exam simulation days

  • Rescheduling: tell us at least 48 hours before your slot and we’ll move you to another day at no cost. [CONFIRM: 48 hours]
  • Less than 48 hours’ notice, or not turning up: the fee is forfeited. The workstation and staff time were held for you.
  • If we cancel: we’ll reschedule you or refund you in full, your choice.
  • If you chose the official Pearson scored practice test as an add-on, that part is subject to Pearson’s own terms and may not be refundable.

Chamindu's Five

  • Applying is free, and includes a review of your score report. You pay nothing until Chamindu has accepted you.
  • Once you’ve paid, you can cancel for a full refund any time before your course start date.
  • From your course start date onwards, the fee is not refundable.
  • If we end the arrangement for reasons on our side, we’ll refund a fair proportion based on how far you’d progressed. [CONFIRM — recommended, but your call]
  • If you stop submitting practice or become uncontactable for [30 days] [CONFIRM], we may treat the arrangement as ended. No refund applies, but your course access continues for the remainder of your year.

Payment plans and instalments

We offer instalment options through PayHere and MintPay at checkout. Bank transfer is available on request — message us and we’ll arrange it.

If you’re paying in instalments and one is missed, we’ll contact you first. If it remains unpaid after [14 days] [CONFIRM], access to live sessions, the portal and the practice platform may be paused until it’s settled. Amounts already paid are not refunded.

Instalment plans are provided by PayHere or MintPay and are subject to their own terms.

Paying from overseas

If you’re outside Sri Lanka, message us on WhatsApp and we’ll arrange payment for you.

Offers and discounts

Discounted prices apply only during the period stated on our website. They aren’t applied retrospectively and can’t be claimed after the offer ends.

If you don't get the score you need

We don’t refund on the basis of an exam result, and we’d be wary of anyone who promises to — nobody can guarantee a score.

What we do offer, whether or not you study with us again: bring us your score report and we’ll go through it with you, free. We’ll show you which tasks cost you the marks and what to change before your next attempt.

Your legal rights

Nothing in this policy affects your rights under Sri Lankan consumer protection law.
