PTE classes in Sri Lanka · Online & in Nawinna Get the PTE score your visa needs.

Hi, I'm Chamindu. I once needed 79 and got 75 — so I know how that feels. I went back, worked out what the exam actually rewards, and scored 90 out of 90. Every time I've sat it since, including after Pearson changed the scoring, I've scored 90 again. Over 2,000 Sri Lankans have used the same method.

A full 2 hours, completely free — real teaching, not a sales pitch.

Our centre · Nawinna, Maharagama

Practise in a real exam room, before the real exam

Most people walk into their PTE test having never sat in a room like it. The headset feels strange, the person beside you is talking, the timer is running — and that's before the first question.

So we built one. Our centre in Nawinna has an exam room set up to the same standard as a Pearson test centre: same layout, same equipment, same conditions. You'll have already done this before you do it for real.

No other PTE class in Sri Lanka can offer you that.

The exam room

Individual booths, proper headsets, exam-standard machines. Sit a full-length mock under real conditions.

Learn with your own device

Bring your laptop. You practise live in class and we correct you on the spot — not a week later.

Easy to reach

On the High Level Road at Nawinna, minutes from Maharagama. Parking available.

Learn in the way that works for you

Four ways to work with us. One of them is free.

Every price is published on the course pages — no "contact us for details."

The person behind Yes for PTE

Hi, I'm Chamindu

Chamindu, PTE coach at Yes for PTE

I didn't plan to become a PTE coach. I'm a chartered engineer by profession, and I needed 79 for my own migration. On my first attempt I got 75 — with a 70 in speaking, which made no sense to me. I use English every day at work. I lecture in it.

So I went and found out why. I took the official E2 Language course, Macquarie University's preparation program, and Pearson's own teacher pathway. And somewhere in the middle of all that it clicked: PTE isn't really testing your English. It's testing how well you understand what the scoring is looking for.

I sat it again and scored 90 out of 90. And every time I've sat it since — including after Pearson changed the scoring — I've scored 90 again. That's not luck. It's a method, and it's the same one I teach.

Over 2,000 Sri Lankans have used it now. Some were sitting for the first time. Plenty had already failed three or four times and been told to just practise more. Those are the ones I like working with most, because there's always a specific reason — and once you find it, the score moves quickly.

If that sounds like you, come to a free session. Two hours, no charge, and I'll tell you honestly what's in your way.

WHERE WE TEACH

PTE classes in Sri Lanka, online or at our centre

You can join online from anywhere in Sri Lanka. Classes run live on Zoom, every session is recorded, and you practise on the same student portal whether you're in Kandy, Galle or Jaffna. If you'd rather learn in a room, our physical PTE classes run at weekends at our centre on the High Level Road in Nawinna, minutes from Maharagama and Nugegoda.

Already in Australia or New Zealand? Many of our students are nurses, engineers and IT professionals in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Auckland who need a PTE score for PR points, a visa or a university place. Online classes are scheduled for your time zone, so you can join after work.

Each month we go through the candidate memories shared on ApeUni — the platform many of you already practise on — check them against previous months, and put the likely questions in one file.

We're not pretending this is secret information. The raw material is out there; what takes time is sorting it, checking what's actually repeating, and throwing out the noise. That's the part we do for you, and we give it away free.

No spam, no daily emails. One file a month, and a note when a new batch opens.

Let’s clear a few things up

Questions people ask us

Which course should I choose?

If your exam is close and you're comfortable studying from home, Rapid Boost. If you learn better in a room with people and want to practise while you learn, Deep Dive. If you've already failed a few times, Chamindu's Five — but that one starts with a placement test. And if you're not sure, come to the free session and we'll tell you honestly.

I've never sat PTE before. Where do I start?

Most of our students are in exactly that position — around eight in ten join us before their first attempt. Start with Basecamp, our free course, so you understand the format. Then come to the free session and we'll help you pick a course and a realistic exam date.

I'm weak in English. Can I still do this?

Yes, and most of our students say the same thing when they start. Our group classes are conducted in Sinhala, and you can ask questions in whichever language you're comfortable with. PTE rewards knowing what the scoring is looking for — that's learnable, whatever your starting level.

I've failed three times already. Is there any point?

Honestly, this is who we're best with. When someone is stuck at the same score, it's almost never their English — it's one specific thing the scoring is penalising, and nobody has identified it yet. That's what the free session is for.

Is the free session really free?

Yes. Two full hours, real teaching, no charge and no obligation to enrol. Bring your last score report if you have one and we'll go through what went wrong.

Can I join from Australia or New Zealand?

Yes. A lot of our students are already in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Auckland and Wellington. Online classes are scheduled for AU/NZ time zones, and every session is recorded so you can catch up after work.

Do you teach PTE Core as well?

Yes. Most of our students sit PTE Academic, but we also prepare candidates for PTE Core for Canadian immigration. Your plan is built around whichever test you've booked.

Do you use templates?

No, and please be careful with anyone who does. Pearson's scoring now penalises memorised answers — a template can take your content score to zero, which means no marks at all no matter how good your pronunciation was. We teach structures that guide you, not scripts you recite.

What if I don't get the score I need?

Then bring us your score report and we'll go through it with you — free, whether or not you enrol again. We'll show you exactly which tasks cost you the marks and what to change before your next attempt.

It doesn't happen often. Most students who follow the plan and send in their practice get there. But when it does, you're not on your own with it.

How much do your PTE classes cost?

PTE Basecamp is free. Our coached courses start from LKR 35,000 for one complete month, and Chamindu's Five is by application. Every fee, and what each course includes, is on our course comparison page.
