Your first attempt
You’ve never sat PTE. Start here before you spend money on preparation.
Most people sit PTE without ever understanding how it's scored — then wonder why the number didn't move. Basecamp fixes that. Eight modules on how the exam actually works, what your score report is really telling you, and why the things you've been told to do are costing you marks.
No payment, no card. Just an email address and a WhatsApp number.
From Chamindu
Every week I meet students who've sat PTE three or four times and still can't tell me why they scored what they scored. They know their number. They don't know what produced it.
That isn't their fault. Nobody explains it. The apps hand you a score and no reason, YouTube gives you memorised templates that can cost you marks, and most classes start teaching techniques before you understand what the techniques are for.
So I built Basecamp, and I made it free. Not a sample, not a teaser — the whole thing. Because a student who understands how the scoring works makes better decisions, whether or not they ever pay me a rupee.

Eight modules. One clear foundation.
Academic, Academic UKVI or Core — which one you need, how the exam is structured, and what test day looks like from check-in to results
The Global Scale of English, your four skill scores, and why a full bar on your Skills Profile doesn't mean 90
The one nobody explains. Raw score, question difficulty, weighting, and why adding up your four skills gives you the wrong answer
CEFR levels mapped to PTE bands, what's really required for study, professional registration and skilled migration — and a recording exercise where you hear yourself against Pearson's official B1, B2 and C1 samples
What automated scoring is looking for, and what that means for the way you practise.
The Pearson score-guide changes from 2023 to 2025, and how pre-prepared material can affect content scores.
The Aug 2025 changes, the new task types, and eight claims going round in 2026 — true or false
The three reasons people plateau, how to judge who's teaching you, and how to plan around your exam date
Listen. Compare. Understand.
Inside Module 4 you'll do something most students never do: record yourself.
You'll answer a short Describe Image task, exactly as you would in the exam. Then you'll listen to it beside Pearson's own published sample answers — the recordings they've released showing what a B1, a B2 and a C1 response actually sound like.
Nobody scores you. You just listen, and you place yourself. It takes about ten minutes, and most people find it uncomfortable. That's rather the point — you can't fix a gap you can't hear.
Your voice. A clearer perspective.
A guided self-comparison in Module 4.A useful starting point
Basecamp will tell you why you're stuck. It won't get you unstuck on its own — because that part needs someone listening to you speak and reading what you write.
Nothing in here is a sales funnel dressed up as a lesson. Every module teaches something you can use. But if you finish it and want the techniques, the daily correction and the practice platform, that's what our courses are for.
Start where you are
You’ve never sat PTE. Start here before you spend money on preparation.
You’ve sat the exam, but the number stayed the same. Modules 3 and 6 help explain common reasons.
You’re weighing your options. Understand the PTE format and your target before deciding.
You’re comparing PTE classes. Learn enough to ask better questions about the teaching.
At your own pace
Register with your name, email and WhatsApp number. That's all we ask for.
Open the course on your learning platform and start with the first module. If you’ve sat PTE before, begin with the score-report material when available.
Work through it at your own pace. Your progress is saved, so you can stop and come back.
Finish and you'll get a certificate — and a clear idea of what to do next.
A little clarity
Yes. No payment, no card details, no trial that turns into a subscription. We ask for an email and a WhatsApp number so we can send you the course and let you know when we publish something new.
Most people finish in two or three sittings. There's no deadline and no expiry — work through it whenever suits you.
Both. The written material is in English and the video explanations are in Sinhala, so you can follow the ideas comfortably whatever your current level.
No. Module 1 assumes you know nothing about the exam. If you've already sat it, you can skip straight to Module 2.
We'll send you the course and a note when we publish something worth reading — a new prediction file, or a change from Pearson. You can unsubscribe at any time and we won't chase you.
You'll understand how PTE is scored better than most people who sit it. If you want the techniques and daily correction on top of that, our courses are there — but there's no obligation and nothing expires.
Your next chapter
Eight modules, seven quizzes and a clearer understanding of your score. Work through it in your own time.
